bagerap Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 The Winchester Hoard thread reminded me of this:Uploaded at Snapagogo.comI must have had it three or four years without really studying it. I think it's Aberystwyth, 1638/9 S2880? It doesn't fit in with anything else I have and, I'm not getting the hammered bug this late in the game so; how does it grade and where should I try to sell it? Quote

Nicholas Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Off the bat, I'd say" nVF softly struck on horseman, striking crack 2 o'clock" Quote
TomGoodheart Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 (edited) I'd agree with Nicholas. It looks decent on the reverse with little obvious wear, suggesting the portrait is more weakly struck than perhaps worn. Do you know the weight Bagerap? As for where ... since there's interest here you might find it simpler to 'do a deal' on predecimal. It would certainly be quicker than putting into an auction ... and less fees than that or eBay. I've sold to several members here and I believe we've all been happy with how it went. Just an idea. . Edited October 18, 2014 by TomGoodheart Quote
