Rob Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Sign of the times I'm afraid. We live in a world filled with paranoia. Governments love sweeping legislation and the concept of having anything outside their control is anathema. Big brother arrived years ago and in fact has probably always been here. You can't even fart these days without being Gas Safe registered. Quote
azda Posted July 17, 2014 Author Posted July 17, 2014 It seems to me that its more the American Government who seems to be paranoid about everything, what o don't like is how they are trying to control Banks against businesses, they even threatened banks, visa, paypal etc over the wikileaks which replies on donations to operate. It seems Freedom of speech is dead in the USA.So when these dealers face possible ruin and life on the unemployment, WHO will compensate them for loss of earnings and more importantly, who's gonna pay their obamacare? TomGoodheart Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) American government are the most paranoid people in the world. Ah, but sometimes I wonder if that's because they have the least supportive public in the world. The number of Americans who post things on the internet about how little they respect or trust their government and would like to do away with it all might make anyone paranoid! America feels to me like a paradox, on the one hand criticising certain elements for wanting to live by standards and cultural norms established in the middle ages and yet seeing no parallel with a constitution apparently drafted for life in the wild west... Peckris Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Shut down eBay. World-wide fraud would be decimated in a stroke. You going to close the international borders with China as well? Quote
Peckris Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Wishful thinking.Maybe. But China is a far greater problem than eBay, even though many of its "exports" end up there. Quote
