Smiffy71 Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 (edited) Hi I'm new to this and was hoping to get a coin ID'd, unfortunately I can't upload a photo because the file is to big so I'll have to describe it.It is a small brownish coin with Victoria on one side with a bun. Above her are the words "Victoria dei gratia" and a date underneath her of 1850.On the other side of the coin is a picture of Britannia facing right with the words "britanniar reg fid def" above it and a weaving of a clover, rose and thistle. If anyone could help me asap it would be really appreciated, thanks,James Edited October 19, 2013 by Smiffy71 Quote
Rob Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 It should be a farthing. No pennies, halfpennies or fractional farthings were struck in 1850. Presumably the diameter is about 21mm? Quote
Peter Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 This is a 1850 farthing from one of our forum members site.http://www.aboutfarthings.co.uk/Farthing%20-%201850.html Quote

Colin G. Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 (edited) Hopefully fixed now, it looked like remnants from my attack last year, a redirect file still contained a portion of the inserted code. I would appreciate if anyone does get a message that they PM with the error message so I can double check. Edited October 20, 2013 by Colin G. Quote
