WilliamIII Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Hi everyone! Here is what I am looking for (Farthing, halfpennies and pennies)If you have something older than what I am asking, I will be interested.Down the message, other denominations are what I can trade you for your coins. I live in Canada, so shipping will be in consequences. I'm not buying anything, just trade, and I hope we will do great deals! -Missing Farthing: 1910190418991895 New effigy1895 Older effigy18921890188718831881188018791876H18751874H187318721869186818671865 5/218641863185918571856185518541852185118501849184618451844184218411840 trident w/ 2 points1839183818361835 Coinage183018291828182318211807And almost everything under 1799-Missing Halfpennies1909190418951894188818831882H188118781878 Wide date18771875H1874 narrow date187418721871186918651861 Halp (?)1860 beaded1860 teethed1860 big version18591858185718561852185118481847184518441843184018391838183718341825 1774 and before (almost everything)-Missing pennies195119501919 Kn188818821881H188118801879 Narrow date1877 Narrow date1875H1874H Narrow date1874H1874 Narrow date1871187018691868186518641860 coinage18591858 WW1857 Plain trident1857 ornamental trident1856185518511849184818471846 close :1846 far :184518441843 no :18431841 no :184118371834182718251807What I can trade, I can send you picture if you want:-Four pence18381844 holed1854 holed-Three pence18761884188618901895189718981899190019011902 pucked190319121914191619171918192019211922192519311932-Six pence1757, at least VG, details1817 Poor1900190219161918192019211928192919301931193319341935-One shilling182518531872189619001901190219141915192319281936Thank you very much for help to complete my collection, and if I can help you also, I will be very happy!
Rob Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 I think you will have to add some grades to the pieces you have for disposal before anyone would be interested. It is not just a simple case of all coins being equal and you just swap them at random. Some will be higher in value than the others, e.g. I admire your optimism and assume it is added in for completion's sake, but I think the idea of a copper 1860 being available for swaps is somewhat naive. I'd like one too. They can be picked up for somewhere between £5-10K and the total number known can probably be counted on your fingers..
WilliamIII Posted August 11, 2013 Author Posted August 11, 2013 I know for the big version in 1860... And yes, I took a list with the dates/ varieties. Like the 1882 penny, without H...The canadian and british gradation standards are not the same. A "fine" here could be a "good" to you, or vice-versa. I can put an appromaximation, but I don't want you to have a bad surprise, this is why I send pictures.
Bronze & Copper Collector Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Also,What sort of grades are you looking for??Or is any grade acceptable???
WilliamIII Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 Also,What sort of grades are you looking for??Or is any grade acceptable???Any grade are acceptable, I just want to be able to read the year! Thanks!
scott Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I can probably get hold of mid grade 1895 YH farthing.you might get lucky with variaties, but not the 1860 copper, we all want one, very few of us have anything as rare.try Ebay for the pre 1806, plenty of William III around for nex to nothing, and the variaties, you can get lucky.
WilliamIII Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Thanks scott for the 1895YH, but I got one last week! Here is an update of my missing farthings. The rest is still the same (1/2d; 1d and what I offer)Thank you!-Missing Farthing: 19101904189918921887188318801876H18751873186818671865 5/218641863185918571856185518541852185118501849184618451844184218411840 trident w/ 2 points183818361835 Coinage183018291828182318211807And almost everything under 1799
azda Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 A forum member has an 1877 narrow date penny for Säle for $13,000 if that interests you. Think its VF or so
TomGoodheart Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 A forum member has an 1877 narrow date penny for Säle for $13,000 if that interests you. Think its VF or so Don't be a tease Dave! $13,000 is certainly out of my budget and I'm guessing William's aspirations are ... towards the modest side too. (Apologies if you're a billionnaire Wiii !)But what I do think is a good idea is to collect .. not the coins, but the images of ones you can't afford or the best condition you can find. With grade, price and seller details you could find it a very useful resource in years to come William, when hopefully you will be so wealthy you'll be able to pick up the odd ££,000 coin at the drop of a hat!Just an idea!(But if you do buy the '77 nd William, we'll expect photos of course!)
WilliamIII Posted August 26, 2013 Author Posted August 26, 2013 Hahaha!!! Maybe one day I will be billionaire, but not for now! The reason why I ask for any grades, it's because British coins are hard to find where I live. A trip in London is one of my projects!Sure I look for the best grades available if you have nice stuff!
WilliamIII Posted August 26, 2013 Author Posted August 26, 2013 Here is an update of everything. Also, if some of you collect Canadian coins, I could have what you want! -Missing Farthing: 19101904189918921887188318801876H18751873186818671865 5/218641863185918571856185518541852185118501849184618451844184218411840 trident w/ 2 points183818361835 Coinage183018291828182318211807And almost everything under 1799-Missing Halfpennies19091895188118781878 Wide date1874 narrow date18741871186918651861 Halp (?)1860 big version (!)185918581857185618521851184818471845184418431840183918381825 1774 and before (almost everything)-Missing pennies1951195018821879 Narrow date1877 Narrow date1875H1860 coinage18591858 WW1857 Plain trident1857 ornamental trident1856185518511849184818471846 close :1846 far :184518441843 no :18431841 no :18411837183418271825What I can trade, I can send you picture if you want:-Four pence18381844 holed1854 holed-Three pence18761884188618901895189718981899190019011902 pucked19121914191619171918192019211922192519311932-Brown three pence1937194119431944 W/ originla luster19451952-Six pence19001916 Ghost effect1918 Ghost effect1920192119281929193019311933193419351937193919421943194419471948194919511953-One shilling1923 poor192819361941 holed19441947194819491950 1953 (2 models)-Two Shillings1949-Florin1921-Half crown1921192319471950
