I have a 1/4 farthing that I would like to establish a value on. I have letters from the Royal Mint and a man called Peck who I understand was an authority on British coinage some years ago saying that neither have seen a similr specimen. Is there a magazine that you would reccommend that I could submit photos and editorial for publication.

Post some pictures here. There are plenty of farthing experts who'll give you an opinion. Also of the letters from Peck and the RM.

Any chance you can give the details of why its rare and perhaps the date of it etc?

Pictures here would be even better. Especially of the letters too.

The expertise on the forum I would wager knocks the expertise of said publication...amongst our few we have dealers,authors,publishers...and if Peck hadn't seen one it will be rare.Peck wrote the monumental English Copper,Tin and Bronze and the British museum. There are a few experts (before and after Peck) but his work donates a Peck nr today for coins (sometimes noted as BM...yep British Musuem) although a certain Mr Freeman is also a member on here to penny type thingies and post 1860 pennies have Freeman nrs.You have whetted my coin radar...Its not a small date 1858 Peck miss is it?
