azda Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Been looking around for a Sovereign for my sons birthday next month (a small investment for him) and came across this one. I thought the legend was punched together on coins, but i can't see how it can be judging by the A in VICTORIA, (or was it added later after minting) its definately more straighter than the other letters in the legend.Thoughts anyone? The earlier Victorian coins were usually of a high standard of workmanship. Issues like these would tend to make me a little suspicious. Quote
