Peter Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 We are currently redecorating the lounge, dining room and hall (including replacing flooring)hence the house is full of dust and also furniture in strange places. My coins were to be moved from one of the rooms to sanctuary in the study. My wife offered to do this.Next I hear a shreek and a sound not disimilar to the sound of trays of coins falling down the stairs and the flutter of coin tickets. Luckily they were only my farthings & 3ds aaaaaaggghhhh.....I reckon this is going to take all summer to sort out....My wife and the dog have been absent from my thrown slipper range ever since. argentumandcoins Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 As they are now all damaged from carpets and bumping together and all that.... I'll buy the lot from you for £10 Peter, but only to save you the trouble of putting the ensemble back together. I don't really want them it's just to help you out. Quote

azda Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 I'm very sceptical that the wife offered to put them away for you then threw them down the stairs, something does'nt add up here Quote
Peter Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 I'm very sceptical that the wife offered to put them away for you then threw them down the stairs, something does'nt add up here She is aware of the "premier" coins and even had plans for making me a t-shirt featuring one of my beauties...I discovered her plan and suggested a pillow case instead...I'm still waiting and having to make do with my Ipswich one.My penny collection was left in the dusty room so I will have to get out my brasso to buff em up. and thanks John for your excellent offer...that was 10 pounds of 22ct wasn't it ?....I would consider silver if I could select about 20 coins to keep as a memento Quote
