Just wondering if this is OBV 6 REV I?

It's 6 + H. Still scarce and worth quite a bit in that condition.

Cheers Derek, what about that 2nd one, is my OBV/rev right?

Just to confuse you it's Gouby obverse J - much easier to look up than Freeman - whatever, it is still the most common of the lot. That type of reverse should have a sig. Have a look under the shield.

So that would make it 6+D, but the dealer i bought it from states there's no signatures on OBV/REV so don't know until in hand and a peek under the scope, perhaps worn or weak but the coin isn't worn so don't know why the signature would be if it's supposed to be there

Just checked the website i bought this 1861 from Derek, the seller states that it has 15 leaves, gouby OBV J has 16 leaves

Doh... I hate 1860 and 61. Why do you think I didn't answer straight away? Per Gouby, the only two without signatures are H and J. In H, the 'B' of 'BRITT' stands clear of the head whereas in J it is virtually touching. All others will be signed.

Will just have to wait till it comes i suppose, seller posted today, so a few days to wait

6+H = R13 didn't realise this was so scarce

Looks like a winner to me.

It is important to get it fully ID'd and noted for its rarity.

I'm still here, 6+H, as previously stated, Freeman 68, yes, rare in high grade,

As stated before, 6+D, Freeman 29, week striking of L.C.W on reverse.

Still waiting on the pair, hoping they come today, if not, then tomorrow ( i hope )

The both have arrived and in coin aquisition of the week. The 1861 does have a weak signature under the shield
