gooday everyone

went out yesterday detecting and found a silver sixpence dated 1871 with no die number.

now i am a collector of this denomination all the way back to the early milled coins and i am having issues finding another 1871 with no die number for sale

does anyone have one? if so how much would one be worth

thanks

Hi Chris

About £10 to £12 in Fine condition (that is to buy from a dealer).

if its been in the ground for over a 100 years much less.

Hammered or gold seem to be the nicer detecting finds.

Chris, I have one for sale on eBay right now. It is item # 270575489297. Whatever it brings... will give you an idea of value.

Item number on its own not much good - can you make it a link?

You can copy and paste the number into the search bar on Ebay and it will bring the item up. ;)

Except that then I have to :

1) open a new tab in my browser

2) find my eBay bookmark

3) login to eBay

4) copy and paste the item number into Search

When people make a link, all I have to do is click it, and I'm there. :)
