Ricks Coins Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Have a look at my website, www. ricksilver.biz. I am selling a collection of mainly British coins. The website is very nearly complete with only British year sets and foreign coins missing. I'd like to fill the year gaps so that collectors will have a comprehensive choice. To do this I would like to start a club with members offering their coins for sale through my website. The details aren't worked out yet, but send me an email if you're interested. I am starting a collection of British gold coins, and will accept these as payment.

Chris Perkins Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 If it's slow or you get fed up doing that I'd probably take the majority of them at 60% of however I price them (usual deal)! Not your tokens though.....way too expensive!
Geordie582 Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I'm still in trouble! I 'Copied' & 'Pasted' Your address but still get "Oops! The link is broken" and I'm redirected to the website given in my last post. Is it just me? or perhaps I have a very new type of virus???

There are other times it appears to not work, but at the last minute "flashes" on. I had the same trouble.Regards,
Ricks Coins Posted April 29, 2009 Author Posted April 29, 2009 Sorry Geordie582, It must be you! I'm glad that another has confirmed I am definitely NOT a spammer. Please ensure you have used the COMPLETE ADDRESS, i.e. http://www.ricksilver.biz. I have slipped myself up in the past by backspacing the existing address and adding just the www. part, only to be shut out with an error message like yours. On looking at the address again, I found the previous address started with https://. Better luck next time, Rick.

It seems to work now But I'm not certain it will in the future. We'll see Seems a very interesting site - but far too modern for my tastes Edited April 30, 2009 by Geordie582
Ricks Coins Posted April 30, 2009 Author Posted April 30, 2009 Hi Geordie582, Thanks for the nice comment on my site. I have asked my webhost for an answer to your problems and would personally recommend you use CCleaner to clean up your computer registry. This is an excellent free service and comes with full support. I have found it did what it says on the box and speeded up my slow slow laptop. Hope this helps. As regards my club idea, if you have any spare coins, perhaps you will consider using my club-site idea to advertise them? My intention is to use adwords funded by selling spaces on the website's landing page to get top Google rating.
Chris Perkins Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 CCleaner sounds highly suspect to me, so does your web hosting Rick! And if anyone has spare coins I'd be grateful if you could offer them to your host (i.e. me) for instant settlement.
scottishmoney Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Chris is right generous in letting a newbie post coins for sale here, most forums would have made the newbie post 25 posts and wait a month after registering.

I investigated registry cleaners before choosing CCleaner when my laptop started crashing. All the reviews said it was one of the best, and I've certainly had no problems with using it daily. Similarly with my webhost who replied immediately to my query and advised users to first clear their website caches, or access the site through a proxy website such as anonymouse.org. How's that for good service? If you want to try it for nothing, sign up from my website and give me a break!
Ricks Coins Posted May 20, 2009 Author Posted May 20, 2009 I've worked out the details of my website sharing deal, and it's very simple. All the details are on the site, and there are now some foreign coins, so have another look.
