I have a plain edge 1839 proof half crown with one plain and one ornate fillet. My question is that both the obverse and reverse are on the same axis, whereas I can only find listings for inverted axis coins.

Spink lists 4 distinct varieties of 1839 plain edge proof halfcrown, but they are all inverted axis.

Are you convinced the coin is genuine - do you have pictures?
