Gaz T Posted November 4, 2017 Author Posted November 4, 2017 Thanks guys for the replies, I thought it may have been the top of a riding crop or walking stick, but the rev does have some sort of design on it, not clear on a scan. There is a branch or leaves to the rim of the coin/token on rev. Quote
Gaz T Posted November 4, 2017 Author Posted November 4, 2017 I have searched for 19th century tokens but cant find it. I was wondering if it was a love token of some kind, as having so much wear. its as thin as a worn hammered penny. Quote
Gaz T Posted November 5, 2017 Author Posted November 5, 2017 It came out of the ground silver so that's what it must be. I don't have any way of checking to be 100% Quote
Gaz T Posted September 7, 2019 Author Posted September 7, 2019 Its definitely not a scarborough not at all modern. Found this today having a search on the net for something completely different. City of Hamburg. 1725-1768. 1 Schilling. Silver. 17mm diameter. 2 Quote
