Master Jmd Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 Better go and dust down my set of 8 coins !!!!! & get them on there quickly. Broken set coins sell for more than they should as there is more interest in single coins rather than the entire set. Quote

Levi_NI Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I've just read through all 9 pages, and whilst initially annoyed that my company had banned 'internet auctions', I am now quite relieved. Having said that, one good thing about all these is that it gives the newbie, through this forum, an idea of grading etc. If the pic is a good one, then instead of just going ugghh etc etc put on a more appropiate grading, as far as you can judge, and then people can maybe get an idea for future reference. All in all, regardless of whether the idea is taken up or not, I still won't be able to see the pics Quote
Geordie582 Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Am I missing something here? Unless The Collector's Coins GB 2005 is out of date already?Young Head Crown Quote
Emperor Oli Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 I always see these sell for over book - they are tough to locate in high grades, I have found. However, not tough enough to merit such a prince, hence the lack of bidders. Quote

Geordie582 Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Wonder if he'd swop for my Churchill crown valued at Oh! say, £500,000 Quote
Chris Perkins Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Well if he gets that much for it I'll be very distressed, as I sold a better one with some lustre for just over £3000 late last year! Quote
wybrit Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 I knew that the 1869 would be discussed here! No, I am not mad, at least not in this instance. It sure got everyone's attention though!! Not a bad advert for 4p! Quote
