  1. Yes i guess you are right it must be me.
  2. I have just paid 0.88p for an excellent WWF 50p and a few adverts down someone wants £55 for one.
  3. Just lately whilst viewing on a large auction site i have noticed that a lot of 50p, £1 and £2 coins seem to have the word "rare" next to them and it makes me laugh especially the wannabe millionaires selling a 50p for £400 as an example.
  4. I live in Staffordshire and to be honest i have had about three and never bothered keep them and yesterday i had another and it is sitting here in front of me.
  5. I have got a pretty decent set but it cost me £10
  6. Hi Ian my bank is 3 miles away and that would be a way to do it but i think i may have got hold of a set but it may cost me £8
  7. People are asking £14 to £18 plus delivery for a set of four capital city £1 coins and the quality is not that brilliant and i would love a set and to be honest it is the only set i have got my heart on but i just cannot get the set. Dave
  8. Hi Nordle11 Sorry about that i did not realise. Dave
  9. I have put a plea for help regarding capital city £1 coins and both times they have gone.
  10. I am hoping to collect the four capital city £1 coins and I wondered if anyone could help please. I feel embarrassed to say it but my budget is not much. Thanks Dave
  11. Your joking I have booked a holiday to Babados thinking you were going tell me it is worth about £1000. :-(
  12. What condition is mine in and does it have a value if i put it on the bay.
  13. I have noticed on a large auction site that some people are asking extortionate prices like a few thousand on say a £2 coin as the date is missing so are they living on a different planet than me or are they being realistic. Dave
  14. I will look at it for you everyday
  15. I am being out bid at the last second of the auction but as said above if they settle down I can hang on until one comes at sensible money.
  16. They seem to go for different amounts according to quality which i understand and as such i have looked at sniping but one site said it needed my details like password so i ditched the idea.
  17. You are possibly right pity he does not like my piedforts £1 coins i am trying to sell.
  18. I have the English oak, Irish Flax, Scottish thistle and the Welsh leek piedfort £1 coins for sale and there has only been 12 views in four days so maybe my wording is wrong
  19. I thought today i had actually won a Kew gardens 50p and was beaten literally at 1 second left and it was snatched from my very eyes so i guess i need to learn how to snipe or however they do it.
  20. When I sell anything on eBay I either take the loss on postage if it costs extra and refund the difference if it costs less.
  21. Maybe it is me but I think some people ask sily prices for postage and packaging and I had one the other month and it was an envelope with a bit of cardboard in with the coin sellotaped to it and postage was about £2.50 but more fool me for buying it
  22. I thought the same but it was only after several emails he told me where he had it from and I thought why would a penny spend so much time in Sweden.
  23. Well I eventually won one for £7.50 but not exactly as good coin but at least people can see what it is. The coin is coming from Germany and the seller said it had been in Sweden for about a 100 years although I cannot understand why.
  24. Hi Colin Maybe i just don't have what people want or i am asking to much on the bay.
