  1. Here it is.
  2. Charging up my camera will upload later on. I dont think its fake, its a VF 1899 penny. Not worth hassle.
  3. Hello everyone, Ive got this misstrike 1899 penny in CGS slab. It looks a bit different to other slabs. Fonts are smaller GB on top instead of Great Britain. UIN is a bit weird too. Its W1274 but when i type it on CGS website theres no match. Anyone knows why is that?
  4. Ive heard this story from Australians at Lords Cricket Grounds around 10-12 years ago...
  5. Anyone?
  6. Hi everyone. I found a very nice 1792 guinea on internet auction. Can you have a look at the pictures and tell me what would be a reasonable price to pay for it? Thanks
  7. Oh yes.... of course.... Was so focused on the coin itself that i didnt notice...
  8. Is this a wind up? Sorry for a noob question but whats wrong with this auction?
  9. After Colin G. mention her name i realised I bought several sovereigns from her in the past. Ive done it by email and her replies were VERY unpleasant. I felt like i was actually doing her some harm I understand im not a big spender and dont expect anyone to lick my balls. Simply being nice would be great.
  10. Hello William.
  11. Hi, i have 'go to first unread post' next to ''reply to this topic' on the top. In 'ebay laughs' topic. Maybe only in topics with multiple pages? Havent got 'next unread topic' on the bottom thou. Im using google chrome. ?
  12. Hi everyone, Is 'go to first unread post' button on the top and go to next unread topic from the bottom gone? Or is it just my browser?
  13. Just got this coin today. Looks much better in reality. It has signs of oxidation. Does that mean its silver or do the other metals get brown spots too?
  14. Hello, i hope i dont annoy you too much with my questions... ive got three quick ones. 1. Coin on this photo looks very clean, has it been dipped? 2. In one of the old posts someone said that pre 1816 early milled coins are totally different game. Why is it? 3. Someone wrote before the best way to store higher grade coins is in capsules. I got some today. Now how do i store capsules? Any alternatives to trays? Thanks

  16. Call me paranoid but im suspicious about everything:) the coin - why is it so dark? ive seen clips on youtube ppl 'applying' fake toning the seller - not a coin buyer/seller and suddenly hes got silver coins from different countries at bargain prices his stock - usually all coins (apart from polish) are in low grades but his coins are all in high grades well i guess ill give it a try anyway...
  17. oops...
  18. reverse
  19. Hi, i found this coin but im a bit suspicious about it. 1. its on polish ebay 2. seller has 5-10 coins from all from different countries almost all of them in EF+ (i guess:) Have a look please and tell me what you think. Thanks
  20. Interesting...
  21. That 1820 is a clear VF I'd say - a nice coin. You could do a lot worse than major on halfcrowns - as long as you don't go in for date runs, they will be generally cheaper than crowns, but are still a good size for seeing detail. For types : going forward, there are Victorian Young Head where you should avoid anything before 1874 in a good grade as they will empty your wallet! One from 1874 - 1887 in GVF should be your target (unless you can afford to bump up to EF?) Victoria Jubilee Head : 1887 in EF up to BU Victoria Old Head : 1893 in EF or better Edward VII (difficult reign) : 1902 is far and away the most affordable George V .925 silver : 1915, 16, or 18 minimum EF George V .500 silver : 1920 or 1923, but minimum EF as the head flattens very quickly on that type George V M.E. : 1927 George V new reverse issue : 1928, 29, or 36 in AUNC or better George VI .500 silver : 1944, 45, or 46 in BU George VI CuNi : 1948 BU George VI last issue : 1949 is arguably the easiest Elizabeth II : 1953 BU Elizabeth II 2nd type : 1966 or 1967 in "Gem BU"! Oh, I forgot to mention the other 'machine age' types you don't have: George III 'Bull Head' : minimum VF George III Small Head : ditto George IV 2nd type : 1823 VF or better George IV 3rd type : 1826 VF or better Those are the main types to collect, and the easiest dates to find. Does the same apply to shillings?
