    A warm welcome from me too. CGS are the only recognised UK grader (as far as I know), it will cost you £13.95 + 2-way postage if you value it below £200, £23.75 from £200-£2000 Lots of pros and cons, but if high grade and selling it could well be worthwhile link Fancy posting pictures?

    That's a good spot Pete, the coins were all submitted at the same time, the only obviously different background for me is for the last 3 coins, why, I have no idea! What do you mean by 'chopped'? I actually think they have done a better-than-normal-for-them job of photographing this batch!

    All in the same batch sent to CGS yes, by far the longest processing time so far, 7 weeks and counting

    Matteo I think you have a lot to bring to this forum, don't worry about English being your (presumably) 2nd language! Peter can be very cryptic, but in this case 'ticks all the boxes' is a common English phrase. It means that all the criteria you are looking for in a coin are met (boxes ticked). e.g. grade, eye appeal, balance, mm, mint, moneyer, rarity, price, etc, etc

    The Gothic crown is sold according to his site. His pictures are truly awful, you would have to get better pics or see the coins in hand, but judging only by the pics for the other 2 coins his grading descriptions are """optimistic""" - the 1861 he describes as "Good Extremely Fine - Uncirculated Choice"

    You will get fully refunded including a prepaid return envelope if you a) send the seller a pic on the incorrect coins received Bee) if he does not offer a refund, raise a case through eBay I have had to do this twice this year!

    They look ok to me, in fact I am watching a couple. Nothing special though .... Remember the prices you are seeing are not the prices they will be sold for!

    This is mine. Purchased from a forum member over 3 years ago for £275, and graded by the seller and by CGS as NVF Prices haven't moved much for this grade, so I suggest £300-£350 for VF? Do run it by the forum if you find one that takes your fancy (there's plenty about )

    unless Copper was giving obv/rev grades for the 2nd coin only I'd be surprised if anyone graded the 1st at only NVF ...

    Others may contradict me / have a different opinion! I just checked on eBay - there are 26 for sale right now at various grades, and with extreme variation in price/seller's grades!

    As previously, I invite anyone interested to have a stab at predicting what grades CGS will assign to this batch of coins.
