  1. Does anyone have any ideas why I might be unable to access the forum through my wifi connection with WiFi Spark? I can access the forum using my phone data on GPRS, but this means I can't view images (without the patient of a saint), and get booted off with 'you don't have access to forum on this server' if I switch to wifi! I have an account with WiFi Spark who say it's not an issue with their service, and confirmed the forum route isn't blocked. I use a router which is wired to an outside aerial. My laptop also has the same error message when trying to connect to the forum via this wifi connection. I've cleared the cache on my laptop ( a month), but no difference! Any ideas?
  2. That's really pleasantly written, Peck, a very nice style! A pleasure to read, Sir! A pleasure indeed! Well done! A nice thing to have on your site, Mark! Great stuff all round!
  3. Su-blinkin-perb! It's a great way to condense information. Good for dealer websites, and great for collectors!
  4. Is he not? I keep seeing him in the list of online users and according to the forum he was last active 17 minutes ago. Ah, OK! So I'll change that to not been posting, then!
  5. And peck's not even around to appreciate it at the moment, either!
  6. We never dreamed such a thing could happen to an encapsulated coin! Thanks jacinbox!
  7. And 90% of the people who buy those, don't even realise it's a copy of a 3d and NOT a sixpence!
  8. Waht on ertah are we gniog to do wtih you pteer?
  9. That's pretty cool Fubar, and another classic example!
  10. It does amaze me that people will spend hundreds on coins without the most basic of understandings!
  11. Certainly unusual! God knows WHAT that is? I'd be interested to hear some ideas!
  12. What's really interesting is we all do this, and likely 'sub-consciously' fit into the world around us in the same way...presuming an emotion or a particular reaction from others, according to our expectations? Same as adding words that aren't even there in a psychology experiment! OK, enough of Krishnamurti and the attainment of enlightenment!
  13. Unusual obverse for a 1905? Edit: the power of the subconscious, you actually graded it, Bob! We did something similar in a psychology course, where we were all asked to read a section from a story on screen! Only 2 out of 10 people read their part correctly! The rest of us added words that weren't even there, to make it read correctly!
  14. Here's one by Colin Cooke! A little sideline of Neil's, possibly? 201295829365
  15. Agree, though, it does have that look about it in the pics!
  16. Have you tried a little bit of acetone on a Q-tip to a small area? I bought a coin once, which had nice black toning in and around the letters...not after I'd acetoned it and found it to be some kind of paint or other!
  17. Hah, well done Prax, glad to see you holding back! Lovely coin!
  18. http://www.serif.com/pageplus/ I got totally carried away after that, but deleted it, thinking 'enough's enough!'
  19. 'I threw me pitchfork at your dog to keep quiet!' Written for our new £2 Britannia! Ok, so it's nice and contemporary, but where's the quality in its strike? The blue image of the design looks promising, the coin itself...?
