  1. Wow, would you sell some stuff for me on the bay then?? You going to post it to me first Peck lol
  2. Here ya go hamnegg, here's the proof Schiller, basically so you know what i was talking about, about the proof 5 mark
  3. And the Email from Richard Sessions Your 1919KN is certainly not as wide as it should be. Mine has quite a thick collar, especially the obverse (scans attached). Could yours have been struck on a different sized blank ? Although I can’t think what size might have been used. If someone was making a forgery they would surely go to the trouble of using the correct sized piece of metal. I think that if I’d seen the pictures of the penny being sold I’d probably have steered clear.
  4. To Be honest John i have been thinking about doing that. It did sell quite cheaply and basically the buyer thinks because ut was cheap that its an automatic forgery, what chreses me off though is he's used Michael Goubys good name and lied about what Muchral had said which in turn just proves to me that he's scared of the coin, and the fact he's the only one standing up shouting fake which is rather Annoying. I've also Spike with a Guy called Richard Sessions, apparently hr has quite a Penny Collection to, i shoeed him the pictures and he had No problem with them Nor had he heard of any fakes. I do believe the coin is genuine but sold cheap due to the REV clean
  5. And an Email from rendel Ingram on the Subjekt Not really. Its highly unlikely to be a fake. Pennies got so much circulation so can  weigh as little as 8.5g. And the Guy who bought it is a dealer
  6. You Went to Neuschwanstein Castle then Rob? Thats in Fussen and Part of it used in the making of chitty chitty bang bang ;-)
  7. http://www.celticcoins.com/ As it says
  8. It's a village and a hill just off the main road 10 miles(ish) north of Austria through the Fernpass. Passed by it a year or so ago on my way back from Innsbruck. I think its about an hour from me on the Sbahn, its Garmisches Patenkirchen area
  9. You're not going to believe this Dave, but, I have been there thousands of times! Lol, i'm not going to quote the obvious John, you being an ex copper an all
  10. So here is Michael Goubys response to my question: This is the 2nd time within a few days I have been asked that question. “Have 1919 KN pennies been faked ?†The answer is I have not heard or seen a fake of that coin – as yet. Which is my answer to you as it was to him ! BUT that does not mean that they have not been faked ! The Chinese have made fake 1826 & I believe 1827 pennies. There is nothing to stop them making copper or now bronze coins, if they like. They are brilliant masters of buying an original coin and making proper steel die copies from that coin and then making near perfect coin copies from those dies ! If in doubt send the coin to the Royal Mint ! All the best Michael So why this guy is telling porkies i've no idea
  11. ZUM 100 JAHRIGEN GEBURTSFEST AM 10 NOV 1859 is basically to commemorate 100 years of Friedrich Von Schillers birthday. I personally think thats a jetton or medal as i have the German equivilant of Spink and i don't see that listed, i have however seen 3 and 5 marks of these and proof specimens are worth a few notes.
  12. About an hour from me the World cup of skiing is taking place. The local newspaper printed a map of the local area. Take a look under the letter A, not sure if its a town place name or the name of a mountain, but by eck they do like their place names here
  13. Upload limit is 150kb per post, if your picture is to big then try cropping it and if thats still to big you can also resize using some form of photo editing software
  14. Well now he's CLAIMING he spoke to Michael Gouby and Steve Lockett who both said it was fake. Now i have to be honest here, if i were starting a dispute i'd put that CLAIM into the very first email when going through the dispute, he didn't even mention it until i said something 5 emails later. This dude is pulling a fast one cos (in my personal opinion) he feels its a risky coin and he doesn't actually know. So i've emailed Michael Gouby and just asked if he'd heard of any fakes coming out of China or anywhere of 1919KNs if he says no then he's obviously bullshitting. He also stated he didn't see a 1919 that good in his 30 years of collectiing/selling so my next line will be "if you have'nt then how come the Chinese got a good one then"?
  15. Lol, No Peck, i just reinvest what i make on the bay and sooner or later make a wee purchase for myself and My collection
  16. I've just bought another 2. 1871 and a very nice 1+b beaded border in AUNC. What i might do us Start on the 1860 down the Way in high Grades as lese People want those and perhaps wait a little for the bunhead fight to Calm down
  17. I think you are right about collectors pushing the prices up, i also think that its more the high grade stuff that does well plus New collectors, they're not stashing Cash in the bank cis of the interest rates. As you can see, where else could you double your Money and more like i just did, so its always worth investing in high grade items
  18. I think it is a good Time to sell duplicates, that was One of mine and i have another 3 of the Same year but in VF. The Car I'll sell in Commission ;-)
  19. My grandmother was worse than me lol. The question is, whats the point if eBay having a No returns button if people dispute something, its pointless
  20. I'm Not sure ski, i just think high grade copper has gone Mad at the minute, it was a nice coin but if i remember when i bought it that i'd paid book for it at the time
  21. So i sold the 1st coin in eBay, i paid 68 quid around 5 months ago for it, it Sold for 151:)
  22. He's had the coin in hand for over a Week now Colin and then he starts that BS, unfortunately i'm an Arues and one of our traits is stubborness, so i'm going to ride this One out and See what happens
  23. And i've got a plonker in eBay DEMANDING his Money back for the one i sold. My auctions state No returns As i describe accurately and make good enough pictures to See all details. So now he's started a dispute saying its a fake in order to try and get His cash back, its only because he doesn't like it, but He likes it enough to have it for over a week. So i've basically said show me evidence that it is a fake and then I'll refund, not until.
  24. A needle in a haystack there Tim, although there is a world coin fair coming up here in Munich next month wich i intend to attend, a friend of mine is coming over from Scotland for a wee visitation as he's also a collector. I'm actually a little peeved, i sold him an 1854 Shilling (to cheaply) bet he's laughing now, but i'll make sure he dips his hand in his pocket at the Hofbrauhaus
  25. The one i sold recently John was also shy on the dia and weighed 9 gram, never noticed anything on the rim though, probably because i didn't stop to look. The beads on the one i had were falling into the rim though
