  1. I think if you check they’ll tell you the insurance on returns is on you, i assume the coins are still with them, or have you even got that far? Thinking out loud, if they were sent with the London branch then they will be insured both ways, but its bordering on ridiculous now.
  2. Not quite, one is gold and the other orange and fizzy 😁
  3. Orf with his heid
  4. Here’s a good review on the coin connection, she is a the owner or some sort of director of the company, seems quite an unbiased review 🤪
  5. Surprised they haven’t pimped those yet like they have with the Kew and 2017 Sov
  6. The Sov alone are about £800 in auction, 3 coin set selling around 1500-1700 area, if you are lucky enough to get the Sov graded at a 70 it would virtually pay for all 3 if you sold it

    Modern Coins

You laugh @Peckris 2 but believe it or not I sold one of thee back to a dealer for €400 profit and sold the slabbed one for $5000 😁
  8. I think paying so much for a small denomination would maybe make sense in 100 years like we do with Victorian coinage and the likes, I think the other problem being is that Queenie has been on the Throne so long. Maybe if she steps aside or drops they might be worth a little something then.

    Modern Coins

I'm not adverse to picking up something modern, a mint i've been watching is a private mint called Mayer, they are somewhere around me but have always denied being the mint who do these coins. Anyway, i've picked up a couple of silver proofs from their Rwanda Nautical series, i think the design is really stunning from an artistic point of view. 100o mintage for the silver proofs, unlimited in BU and 100 mintage for the gold. They are 2 years into these but have also done a Lunar series starting with the Rooster. This started of with a 100 mintage and had a mosaic design, and people went crazy for them, then the dealers started catching on and virtually killed it with massive price hikes on their 2nd offering......Anyway, just thought i'd show you a couple from this series and maybe whoever is running the forum now could maybe add a modern pinned tab?
  12. Lol........They are increasing in price hard eh....
  13. People like Numistacker hyping things on youtube so he can shill and sell for profits. Only certain modern coins do well, no one knows the formula, its just what gains traction. I think buyers are going overboard with the Kew right now, as i've kept saying, its only the circulation coin that's the rarity....The 1989 2002, 2005 and 2017 sovs are a case in point, different REV designs, plus the Sov is a well known and collected coin.
  14. Interesting, i think the bar code gives some details of problems. Will try and find out
  15. No, I think they state on the holders for that, the tone seems even enough around the coin.
  16. Yeah I was surprised also. Still looking at it to try and see what they saw.
  17. Personally i don't think so, i can't see signs of cleaning, no lines, evenly toned etc etc etc. I did however get an MS62 on my 1918 India Sovereign
  18. , Ok, just picked it up. AU details, cleaned
  19. @Coinery it didn't sell
  20. Yes, but if they at least gave people the chance to chase the price a little it would be more fun, at least give us a chance to make a few bids, they should have just added it into their shop at a fixed price.....
  21. Well, it's nearly that time to pick this coin up, i called yesterday but the grading week was still on-going and also have to wait for the bill to land in my email, the lady did say it was done although the grades haven't been uploaded which is one thing i do find frustrating about NGC, PCGS list the grade virtually as soon as it's gone through the graders final look over. I suppose i'll just have to wait and see what it is when i go back.......... Munich coin fair this weekend also, even got the boss to come along with me, a coinie in the making, think i've bored her into eventual submission 😀
  22. Nice coin, but at it's money there, maybe a little overpriced. As collectors, we like to have a little something left in the coin 😁
  23. I wouldn't want to drop that though
  24. They already do on-site grading and slabbing, i have a couple there now and they are doing on-site grading throughout this week, i'll be able to pick them back up from next Monday
  25. You might have waited, seems there is some expansion going on, a new office over 4 floors, moving on the 4th March. I wonder if they are going full time grading in Munich. Will be asking next week what gives.... https://www.ngccoin.de/news/article/7150/new-munich-office/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=19-NGDE-0073 New Munich Office Location eBlast - DE&utm_content=New Munich Office Location eBlast - DE&mkt_tok=eyJpIjoiWTJWbU1UTXdZVEk0WkRkbSIsInQiOiJXYkdWWVVaMFpEUjBlZTVNaWJPV25KM0pYUmlGUDJkOUFtNzVxYWQyRHhnSElUUDdUb2xTR0F1RkdmeklVWjhKMm5KNExEbzV2c3lSY0dQSVd5V2xUM3JhVE5aRjdvemtlRm8wOU1kcEc2RUU1RDdQZ1R5cUdaa1UzZHBoWDM1byJ9
