Yes, it’s all a money making scheme. A first strike or whatever NGC calls it will cost an extra €10 on top of the tier fee price, so for example, modern costs €20 plus an extra €10 for that designation, a fancy label with Big Ben or something is also and extra fiver. It’s a racket

Tax rules also state that if you buy to immediately make a gain on ebay then you are liable for tax after £1000 profit has been reached. Can be read here www.listsmart.io/article/ebay-tax-guide-uk -
1 for me and the other 2 for 2 of my friends, that makes 3 😉 The fact i can also drop them into NGC and get a first strike BS designation also helps

So, one of the designs of the QB is the Greyhound, i think this one will not be so strong judging by the representation on the RM website, it reminded me of the dog from the Simpsons. -

Totally agree with this, pimping Sovereigns with a shield here and a matt finish there and a plain edge strike on the day is just the RM trying to exploit and tart up just a normal everyday sovereign, if they really wanted to do something, then they should look at changing the REV design, a little radical i know, but th modern sovs are beginning to remind me of the American silver eagles, same ol, same ol. It was one of the reasons i liked the QB series, there's a design change every release, although, they aren't strong designs, but at least its fresh and new...... -

There is a downside to this, the overpricing, the hype, and the eventual realisation that they've paid over the odds and left holding something that's only worth 50% of what they've paid -
He’s just an advocate of NGC because he has an interest in people going through him to get them graded. He also does videos on coins he’s bought, then lists them on eBay, so effectively shilling his purchases, now he has some sort of connection with this coin connection website, so he did a review video it this apparent “great coin dealer” and now his videos contains adverts where you can save 2% if you quote numistacker when purchasing, problem being, the coins are 30% overpriced already, he is a parasite.

Lol, Yale of Beaufort. Mintages have dropped first of all for the 1/4 gold 1oz silver proof and the 1oz, 2nd, the last 3 designs were pretty weak, this one is a fairly decent representation. Not looking forward to the Dog though, looks like the dog out of the simpsons. -
He goes from RM shiny and new coins to thinking he is some bigshot in the numismatic world, funny thing is, he calls the british numismatic trade fraudsters then does a video with Steve Hill from sovereign rarities like he's his buddy, he also has some sort of deal going with a coin website called coin connection, he tells people how great they are because he has a connection with them, he's now slipped American style adverts in-between his YT video advertising their website, all they sell is overpriced RM stuff, they have the gold 50p set listed at nearly £7k and price gouge....His other job is in marketing, and he's marketing himself to the hilt

He is a guy who at one point just collected RM stuff, he also is a guy who is trying his hardest to be a bigshot in the collecting world and an influencer on Youtube, he is also a guy who is now an authorised NGC submitter and basically said that "the reason the UK coin trade is agains slabbing for one reason only, and that is reduces the opportunity for fraud" (his exact words) and IMO that was him touting for business. He basically takes submissions and throws them on YT for the world to see before he sends them off, then he does the same again when they come back. He overcharges the grading fees, pays in dollars to NGC and charges in £s from those who submits, the man is a leech of the highest order. He is a man who buys by grade holder numbers and not what's actually inside the slab. He did one video at a coin fair in America where he had bought an 1821 Sov, got it show graded and didn't like the result, so broke it out and got it re-graded to find the same result came back, he's a slab number merchant, nothing more and thinks he's a know it all because he's telling people about the slab number and the coin inside......... One recent video of his was touting the gold 50p set from the RM, telling everyone how good it was, saying it was going to mature in price and then had it up on eBay 2 days later for over 6k, he does it often with RM releases because he has bought a few of whatever the RM brings out and for all these reasons is the reason i dislike this guy.

Numistacker and his crew being the biggest culprits of this new form of greed, the man is a complete f...ing tool

looks a forgery to me, the OBV bust doesn't look right and the lettering looks too neat

There is an error Snowman on the proof, the hat changed colour during minting from blue to green, I assume the ink started to run out during the minting run. I was hoping that we’d get a pinned topic on here for more modern coinage that could be expanded into gold and sliver and the rest of it. Still waiting for a moderator to maybe do something. -
Its the proof, there is bullion versions in 1/4 and 1oz, but that price is phenomenal. They have been reducing the mintage on these, the first (Lion of England) i think was 2500, the latest one (The yale) is now at 1000 mintage, i think because their last 3 in the Queens beast series design have been weak, but this one certainly took off, sold out fairly quickly at the RM

Colin, i think the shipping insurance only applies if you've submitted them yourself, if you've submitted through London NGC office then i think the liability is on them, but i would ask the question for your own peace of mind
