  1. Recent pickup Looks like my image isn't being attached Went in and deleted images that aren't showing up here, tried again several times. No joy.
  2. Looks like it has delamination to me as well
  3. Thank you, the old Chard's page is great. Strangely the wiki page has no table of the sort (might be localization differences). A friend actually recently sent me this link to Chard's too. Sort of adjacent info. https://www.chards.co.uk/guides/british-coin-denominations-from-roman-times-to-date/302
  4. Does anyone have a handy chart or spreadsheet for British milled predecimal, showing all or many of the denominations, and their dimensions? I just mean smth w 2 or more columns, most esp Denom | Diameter Years and weight and thickness and metal content would be great, too. Thanks, Jonathan
  5. It seems like we get overpriced culls or a small amount of massively overpriced better pieces. I still buy from UK, when feasible, it often works out better, as long as I consolidate several pieces in shipping. But not much at coin shows or shops for me to nose through.
  6. Sadly my choices aren't so plentiful for the coins I like. Most everything here is Morgan dollars, or bullion.
  7. I won: 1834 Bullhead shilling, lot 1292 1806 bronzed proof penny, (diff var than the 1806 proof I won in first auction), lot 1285 Beat out in 7 other lots
  8. So what did you bag today?
  9. Vaguely looks like a 3. Too uncertain, though.
  10. Only Cope pieces they currently have are both gold, but I hadn't checked till recently.
  11. Does anyone have the prices realized for Cope 1 lots they could share, please?
  12. The Auction World Cope pieces a few weeks ago may have been a different flipper. I hadn't looked at their site /eBay listings much recently.
  13. The Coin Discord server pretty much unanimously do not like them or their model. They're almost a gag at this point. Too many on there have likewise experienced Atlas throwing on bids till they win, only to find later Atlas just list at double their cost on eBay and their website. It's one thing to lose to other collectors, but they're just flippers with obscene markups, and accumulate so many gorgeous and rare pieces in the process. Very distasteful, and though some people may champion such a model, many of us don't. Good point, to note to anyone handling my collection, that Atlas instructively not be involved ha.
  14. Thanks immensely.
  15. Since Rob Davis doesn't list prices on the site, could anyone share prices paid for what model they may have? Trying to figure how much to save (incl hefty overseas shipping), for what is available.
  16. You have a link to it on there?
  17. Atlas has beaten me out in numerous auctions, here in the US, as well as elsewhere, and promptly listed on their site at double their cost. I detest having them as competition, and not much interested in buying from them knowing how they mark up. I also noticed several Cope auction 1 pieces appeared recently at Auction World. Probably some Japanese reseller couldn't flip all they took on.
  18. I gave up reporting clear fakes several years ago. Total waste of my time. They ignored every single one.
  19. So fake!
  20. I'm assuming this earlier book 1860-1970 will be even more difficult to track down a copy? That said, I'd be obliged and delighted to obtain a copy if anyone knows of one, or spots one in the wild.
  21. Thanks, just looked at your rarest pennies listing. Once again, I feel we're all indebted to your perseverance assembling these sites. Especially those of us newer to collecting these, and with not much free time to do a fraction of the exhaustive research accumulated therein.
