I recognise a few of these coins, having seen them on eBay, when looking for Victoria halfpennies. Past sales, may give you a general idea of what they may sell for.

I've always thrown them in the copper scrap. Demonetized, so legal to weigh in.

You should be able to get acetone from any builders merchants. Jewson, Selco etc....

I soaked one of the rarest, 1953, farthing, die pairings in olive oil, overnight. Virgin, if I remember. Was surprised how much it discoloured it. Don't think I'd ever risk it again.

That's a different language to me Chris. Besides, I do all this on an android phone. I understand the 3 linked circles. On pressing that, it brings up a couple of apps. If I press the more apps option, it brings up my contacts. How I get it to bring up the reply section, on the half penny thread, on the pre-decimal site, I've no idea. Luckily, I don't need to do it that often.

Short answer. No. Never understood how to do them. 1860 halfpenny. Ended yesterday afternoon / evening on eBay. Sold for £181 by Bucks coins. 1* + A.

I'd agree with your pairings. Don't think I have 14 + O. Must admit, I've not looked at halfpennies properly, for a good few months now. Life's ups and downs got in the way. Huge relief to be single again tho. 😁😁.

I'm sure it just needs the batteries changing. I have a clock that plays up if the batteries are low. Not enough umff to push the second hand around. Or was it the spring.,......? 🤔
