Of course it is. Listed as a half penny but I was to busy looking at the finer detail to notice the elephant. I'm back home tonight but yes. Definitely a penny. Thanks.

Evening all. I'm still alive. Silly question time. Picked this up on eBay the other day. 1875. The wide spacing of the colon, in relation to the G of REG, would suggest obverse 13. Thoughts on whether the T's of BRITT are sufficiently touching, to make it a 13#, sought. Desperate coin I know. Been delivered but working away from home at mo, so sellers photos.

Dracott lists as 1 known. I know of no images If you're going down the Halfpenny Road, have a read of the halfpenny ID thread. You'll learn plenty.

The dent in the forehead is unique to obverse 5 but not all obverse 5's have it. However, all obverse 5's have the scalloped, middle top leaf. For 1861 there is a range of recut, first and last 1's. Some rakish angles too. For 5 + G, Dracott lists an F over P in F.D.

I would agree with 9 + K. F317. The underside of the first leaf in the top 2 rows line thru. Date width covers 14 teeth. R16. Well spotted.

I recognise a few of these coins, having seen them on eBay, when looking for Victoria halfpennies. Past sales, may give you a general idea of what they may sell for.

I've always thrown them in the copper scrap. Demonetized, so legal to weigh in.
