not sure if anyone has noticed the haze that some of the latest proofs from the rm are prone to getting, seems to be the 2014 to 2017 coins from my own observations, but what happens when you get a coin slabbed then it develops a nasty tone or spots, does that mean the coin is still the grade assigned to it or not, or are the slabs air tight ?

I didn't really think the modern gold 50p's etc were good value, if you by a silver proof coin its worth half or less after a couple of years, there is one bloke who swears by the gold proof 50p's, # and I have been looking at this numistacker on facebook and it does seem about how shiny a coin is ,

I have noticed a lot of people buying these modern gold proofs and clambering to get pf70 ultra cameo, seems the be the holy grail of coin collecting at the minute, maybe that's part of it

the Rm let slip the snowman & gruffalo 50p's will not be entering circulation, could they become future kew gardens ??? or is kew something that just caught the publics imagination ??? still curious to see the mintage figures for the last couple of years as I suspect there will be a lot of £2's and 50'p and possibly definitive's that have not been issued for circulation, I know I go on bout the modern stuff coming out but its nice to hear other peoples views and opinions
