  3. another coin not intended for circulation along with many others, how will this affect the market for values of coins, we know a low mintage coin is worth more than a common coin but what about say the 2016 shield of arms 50p that wasnt released into circulation, will this bring down other coins in value, and is coin collection of modern stuff about to go like British stamps did ?/

  6. ok I know its ebay but why on earth would you pay around £120 for a kew gardens 50p ??? sold listings ebay funny cause I still think they are listed about 4 quid in spinks you could almost buy a 1981-4 proof half sovereign with that

  12. haha I reckon if I quoted Edward I class 10 f i'd be right in 99% of id's lol why does the class 10 seem to be the most common ? i'm sure I read in the great re coinage of Edward I something like 130,000,000 pennies were struck ?

  15. yes our history teacher was the same, we had a stamp club and that's where it came from,
  16. any stamp collectors on here ? I used to collect stamps as a child, a friend and me used to go to the monthly stamp fair at fullwell cross library Barkingside in the late 80's, and got friendly with a local stamp dealer that lived near us in Upney. , so we didn't have the usual fair for a childs collection, was all about phosphor lines and nice cancellation marks, he used to give us 1000's of George v ones to go thru looking for the different colour backgrounds etc, Bernard Stibbard, doubt he is still alive now

  25. Hi and welcome to the forum I would say them lines have been added after, the 2 coins look genuine but something looks wrong with the lines, I might be wrong, see the thread here from the forum
