Though oddly, I haven't had a demand to change from eBay yet, even though it was suggested this would be rolled out worldwide yesterday.

But I changed it anyway. Why wait I figured.

Probably a good idea for anyone else who hasn't seen the news yet, too.

Yeah I saw the news yesterday - My understanding was it was eBay.com users only (although you can obviously sign into .com using your .co.uk account so what's the difference?)

Like you said, I changed mine just in case too..

I haven't changed mine yet, but anyway it would seem like a case of "stable doors" "horse" "bolted" as the BBC report suggested that the hackers now have your address. Changing your password? If what they said is true, then a change of address seems to be the only solution.:(:wacko:

Aw, be fair Peck! eBay have only had since February or maybe March to tell everyone, so they have done their best to let us know asap!

You can hardly criticise them for the fact that we'd have had time not only to bolt the stable door, but to knock down the stable and rebuild it six miles down the road by now ...can you?

All eBay sites are part of Ebay.com - so the same account name & password works for all of them - exception is their S.American associates that are variants of Mercadolibre.com , again one time registration works across the different national sites

Trouble is, the world is an increasingly small place. And often without our being aware of it.

A while back I wanted to buy something from Target to be posted to a friend in the US. I'd barely heard of Target, let alone bought anything from them. As I was pondering how to pay for it I was told I could sign in using my Amazon account.

Despite it being Amazon.co.uk. it worked too. Very handy at the time but ...

Ebay should fix thier security instead of constantly tinkering with everything, I swear something changes on there every day, whether it be the buttons or page layouts...
