To me loks like slightly too small a flan. The coin looks too circular to have been done with a grinder,if you could see the edge it would be a give away :)

I was looking at that too, the giveaway for me was above the F:D (obverse) where the rim is proud of the coin.

Gotta be a grinder jobby!

That's what made me suspicious Matt.....the swarf over the rim edge.

Aren't the beads a bit flat though on the obverse - what's that about?

It's a strange one, everything else has the detail.

As a guess perhaps the edge was ground from the reverse side downwards and then finished by lightly polishing the edge around the obverse rim to get rid of the bits that were proud (and missing the part above F:D). The final polishing wearing out the obverse beads maybe?
