JPK Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Hellooo, have been nosing around for a while, reading & drooling over some coins & decided to join up,I'm another one of those detecting anoraks lol,i don't actually buy any coins but still consider myself a collector. My main aim is to find at least one coin from every ruler From 1066-1900,I'm pretty close to achieving this ( I'm not including Ed.V or Cromwell )My fav.period is the late Saxon coinage,if I find one a year then I'm doing well & I'm also partial to Celtic coinage,my avatar is a iceni Q.stater, irstead type, the first one I ever found so a fav.Am gonna try to upload a rather nice Ed.III Noble I found for your perusal.Im trying to improve my ID skills so will prob.be bothering you with questions at some point, john. It had been holed at some stage (behind Philip's neck) which reduced the value, but I liked the portraits. P&M shillings with good portraits are quite expensive normally.cheers Garrett. Quote
