HistoricCoinage Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) I have been drooling over this other story, too. Nice coins and an honest workman. Edited February 3, 2013 by HistoricCoinage Quote

Accumulator Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Two fantastic discoveries, but...I appreciate that when these hoards are discovered the coins are all just laying loose, but you would imagine that as soon as someone archeologically qualified, or from a museum, arrives they would be handled with 'kid gloves'. Instead, photos of the coins in the media (e.g. the Bonhams picture) always seem to show them piled up on top of each other, presumably for effect. I'm not sure I would treat them that way if they were mine! Quote
1949threepence Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Both fantastic finds.Nice for the French worker that his honesty has been so handsomely rewarded. Quote
