It depends on condition. If the coins are circulated not very much. The silver would be worth about £5 to £7 and the copper or brass maybe £10

Thanks, can u advise me the best place to sell these coins? Out of my one penny collection most of them are the same, but I have one dated 1922 and is very shiny and looks like it different from the rest of coins do u know the reason for this? Thanks

Has it been polished?

If you could put a couple of pictures up of the best bun pennies(pre 1895)we can confirm the condition.

Ebay is always a good place to sell or maybe a carboot.I won't right them off completely until the condition is known.

The pre 1920 silver is sterling (92.5% pure) and pre 1947 silver is 50% pure. Both sell well on Ebay.

Looks like I was right with a tenner :)

If you list them (like you have) with a couple of pictures you might get £15 to £25 off ebay...and carboot anything goes.

Good luck.

ps the 1922 looks once brassoed

To be honest neither of those coins seem to be worth anything although the shillings have c. £6 worth of silver between them.

My advice for this sort of accumulation is always the same, find a kid who wants to start a collection (or persuade them that they do) and donate the whole lot to them. Trying to sell the stuff is a labour of love for the shirt buttons you'll make on the deal. Far better to get an enthusiastic child to take them off your hands, and they'll get hours of pleasure out of them.
