alan Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Over the years I have collected all the dates of pennies from 1797.These include 1827,1849,1843 and 1856.I dont realy want to sell them, but would like to exchange them for a Freeman 14 penny(LCW below foot). They are in albums.I cannot take photos but if anyone is interested,I can give further details.

Not sure I'd do it if it was me, but it's not...
azda Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Think that would depend on the grades Peck, 1827s are never normally seen above VF grade
Peckris Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Yeah, but even so. That's trading a BIG collection for a single coin. Something I'd never recommend a collector do. Like I say, if it was me, I'd end up regretting it.

Like I say, if it was me, I'd end up regretting it.I have the set from 1860 to 1894 in conditions from fine to unc,but the only one that has evaded me is the F14,and this is why I am prepared to do an exchange. The rare pennies in the set I am getting rid of are ,I would say fair with good dates. The poorest being the 1869 which is clear date only.

alan Posted September 10, 2011 Author Posted September 10, 2011 It would be the complete set as it is for the F14,providing it is a reasonable coin.
