Guest ianw Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 (edited) Hi all,I just came across this set of coins and was hoping someone might tell me something about them, including what they may be worth. They are tiny little coins, dated 1893. Are they really from 1893 or from some commemerative set. I have higher res scans if needed.I'm from Canada,so I am just guessing they are "pence", course, I could be wrong. My thanks for any information.Ian. Edited November 10, 2010 by ianw Quote
argentumandcoins Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Hello Ian,It is indeed a set of pence coins, a Maundy set.Worth around the £90-£100 mark to sell or £140 mark if you were buying.John. Quote
Peter Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 These are issued every year by the reighing king/queen...not a lot of collectors as they were never in circulation apart from the 3d...about £80 to £100 maxnice for a keepsake but not a sought after series.I haven't even tried to get some and being an avid collector says a lot.
