thedigger Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) Sorry Mods, i was unsure where to put this one as i dont know if its a coin or token? It Has Victoria on front (worn) and a hole at the top brassy colouring.Back has "TO HANOVER" at topMan on horse going over what looks likes a dragon of sorts and the date underneath 1837?Its puzzled me.....which isnt hard Because of the damge shown in photos and the general condition of this is there any value to this coin?thank you. Red Riley Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 To save me the bother of writing it out, I quickly Googled 'To Hanover' and the answer is here: http://en.allexperts.com/q/Coin-Collecting.../coins-1839.htm. Common and never worth much, the damage renders it nigh on unsaleable, but the historical background to this counter is quite fascinating. Quote

Without the token in hand it would be impossible to give you a die combination because the varieties are generally identified by measurements in legends etc. Quote
