Peder Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I was gardening yesterday & found a 1912 penny.Judging by the patination and corrosion I guess that it may have been dropped when the house was built in the 1930s. It is of no value but it is nice as a link with the past.I remember finding a half crown in the garden of my parent's house twenty years ago.I wonder what other forum users have found?Peter Quote
Chris Perkins Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I found a 1934 penny in the garden of a 1930's house I lived in as a boy. I even knew then that it was worthless. But it didn't stop me trying to find the 1933 penny that could have been in the same hole! Quote
Guest Anthony Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 I found a 1912 penny while doing a garden that must be a misprinted coin as it only has penny on it, not one penny like all then other ones I've seen online. Will get it checked one day Quote
mick1271 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Found some 25p (crowns) and masonic tokens in a house I was clearing nearly 15 years ago , have been an addict since then.the hours I have spent trawling car boots, collectors fairs and the internet in that time isn't worth thinking about. Quote
Oswald Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 During springtime gardening my wife found 7 bronze pennies with George V (1936) Quote

Michael-Roo Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 What's the betting it turns out to be just wear and/or corrosion? Quote
