Emperor Oli Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 Congratulations, it's a shame it had to be overshadowed by other events. Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 Yes, but none the less hope you had a great day today! Quote
Geoff T Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 Congratulations, it's a shame it had to be overshadowed by other events. Yes, it was quite a surreal day, but thank you all for your good wishes. I must confess I spent much of the day glued to the television. This is a part of London I am frequently in and I have colleagues who work at the British Library, right in the thick of it, so I hope they're OK. I should see a number of them next week when I'm at a conference in Warsaw, so no doubt I'll get some first hand accounts.Things brightened up in the evening. We opened a bottle of vintage champagne and my children took me for a meal. I can't get my head round 50 though - inside I'm still 15.G Quote
Geordie582 Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 Don't worry Geoff, we all stay in our teens! It's more comfortable there! Hope you weren't involved in the mayhem yesterday? Quote
Sylvester Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 I dunno i fluctuate between 6 and 32.I don't feel like a teenager at all, i didn't when i was one. I either felt younger, or older. Quote
Geordie582 Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 I guess I was stupid when a teenager, and I don't seem to have changed! Quote
