Poppy Posted November 4, 2025 Author Posted November 4, 2025 Well so it is 🤩, brilliant! I can actually see that now that you've pointed it out - Thank you so much 😊 Quote
Rob Posted November 5, 2025 Posted November 5, 2025 If it had liv as the last three characters, it would have been worth a couple hundred pounds, or whatever someone was willing to pay, even in that condition 1 Quote
copper123 Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 Isn't it nice that we have someone on here with some nice inherited coins lol 1 Quote

I've learnt loads from reading through the many posts. Charity shops were happy to accept the old foreign coins which was great. I also sold a few bits and bobs to some small antique shops. I hope someone else can find those coins now and start or continue their own shiny collection 🙂 I've saved a select handful of coins for myself to enjoy. I've kept this extremely well worn but very beautiful (if I've got my identification right here) gothic florin. What an awesome font that would have been once upon a time! A recent discovery that some of my florins... below the bust you can see the Die No, makes it that much more interesting for me. 👍 2 Quote

I think they're all pretty decent grade wise; the photos are okay but not amazing 😅. You'll need to check with proper collectorists but l'd guess the Four Pence could be Maundy Money. All your coins are beautiful compared to the filth l have! I'm more interested in the metal than the coin. Oh and silver is worth a bit more now so revise any value estimates upward. I use eBay as a gauge of attainable value but l've recently realised low-priced fakes might be artificially lowering the bar and in any case your coin quality should command a premium. Quote
