Guest steve Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Hi all, i just thought i would ask for help in ID'ing this "coin"? Im thinking James 1 medallion rather than coin...one side has James 1st facing left with wording:- JACOBVS.11 DEI.GRATIA, on reverse has DATE 1616 crown over harp wording:-MAG.ER.FRA.KT.HIB.REX ... appreciate any ideas. Thanks very much Rgds Steve stevehartly@aol.com Quote
Chris Perkins Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 it's Irish, James II, probably a halfpenny depending on size and type. The date is something other than 1616 though. Quote

Chris Perkins Posted April 21, 2005 Posted April 21, 2005 Expensive because they're nice coins, or expensive because they're unrealistically overpriced, and you haven't got a clue how to grade them? Please do send me a list, to cp@predecimal.comThanks, Quote
