Still, let's be thankful that we still use the logical DD/MM/YY format. God forbid we should ever descend to the utterly illogical MM/DD/YY.

Better still, use (YY)YY/MM/DD depending on how far back you need to go. It makes filing soooooo much simpler.

Just as bad is the insistence some have of referring to a team in the singular, as in "England is struggling here, and is lucky to be going in at half time only one goal down".

And the increasing disappearance of the word "of" after "couple", compensated for by its unnecessary appearance after "outside". Not to mention the growing habit of referring to a date as (e.g.) "February 3". Still, let's be thankful that we still use the logical DD/MM/YY format. God forbid we should ever descend to the utterly illogical MM/DD/YY.

Of course, they use the MM/DD/YY format in the States, and it's caused some massive confusion between us and them, as far as dates before the 13th of the month are concerned. For example we would take 5.8.19 as being 5th August 2019, but in the States, it would be May 8th 2019.

It caused huge confusion with the "Paul is dead" myth - did he disappear on 11th of September or 9th November?

Okay, so we've narrowed the problem down, it's the Yanks!!

Dumb is another one. If you mean someone is stupid , why call them mute.

As for the dates, I always told them the system will be using ISO format dates. That always stumps them. Huh, whats ISO? CCYYMMDD, get with the program dumb ass (strikethrough) you silly billy.
