Identification help needed.

Hi chaps. Had this thing kicking around for a decade,I thought I would probably bump into whatever it was sooner rather than later and whilst it looks familiar to something from princely states coinage I can't find it and it is starting to really bug me. I have no idea on the symbols not like the islamic,hebrew or persian ones we are used to . Anyone have an idea what it is please so I can sleep again

Looks S.Asian to me, but there are lots of temple tokens as well as true coins. Best place to get an answer is probably Zeno

Odd one. Because of the crudeness of the script I'm not entirely sure whether it's Sanskrit or Devanāgarī alphabet. I think I can see 25 in Sanskrit in the centre of the first image but that makes little sense in terms of Indian coinage.

I don't think it's Sanskrit (which alphabetically is virtually identical to Hindi).

There are subtle differences which, in the hands of someone more expert than I, can help differentiate between C18th and C19th texts. That being the time of a broader cultural shift to modern  Devanāgarī .

That's a very good call.I was working through alphabetically and I've only just got past Bangla. Kaithi fits side two very well but I think that we may be looking at two languages on this piece

Looks like tibet, 1 sho. Not sure of the date range, numista can tell you.
