Unwilling Numismatist Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Given the 20k+ queue of peeps looking at the site today, I'm not expecting any major value to be attributable to them. Of course 90 million will turn up on fleabay listed as "Rare"... 1 Quote

Unwilling Numismatist Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 I sold off 9 or 10 spare wrestling ones, but if I come across another I'll know who needs it 1 Quote

Unwilling Numismatist Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Interesting possibly non-factoid in the Sun ... re: New 10p's - Some 2.6million coins have been minted – 100,000 for each letter. If thats it for mintage, they're going to be collectable, but maybe thats a production figure to date... in which case expect more. Quote

The Sun online blog nothing to do with the sun newsgroup always peddling false statements and half truths. Also I received an email from London coins touting the 2018 Issac newton 50 pence being the rarest 50 pence ever obviously sentence ended with the obligatory ? . These online bandit blogs and even to a certain degree the check your change website is so full of misleading information all the newbie collectors just try to climb over each other grabbing anything just in case it turns out to be rare. They are so dim witted they will even bid £50 for a copy kew knowing it is a copy. Quote
Unwilling Numismatist Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Agreed. Changechecker .. misleading much - seems like only 12500 ever minted, but actually ... read it and don't get bent over . https://www.changechecker.org/2018/02/14/the-uks-brand-new-5-coin-is-the-rarest-of-them-all/ Horrid coin anyway so I have my bargepole handy.
