scott Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 super, I buy items from ebay buyers and it doesn't turn up, instead of the usual. I get this You purchased this item as a PayPal guest user and will need to contact PayPal directly by going through their resolution centre. since when has this been a thing. last time I checked i was using my paypal account I have always used, as well. Chingford Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Be careful could be a scam, non received items are processed through Ebay resolution process, as PayPal and Ebay are no longer connected payment is put on hold by PayPal during the resolution period. I have never been contacted by PayPal during any resolution period. I would Telephone PayPal, before I started tapping my keyboard Quote
scott Posted August 21, 2016 Author Posted August 21, 2016 (edited) no its when I try and start the process, that's the message. Edited August 21, 2016 by scott Quote
Chingford Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 In this situation I would start with a Phone call as the process described is significantly different from previous experience. Quote
scott Posted August 22, 2016 Author Posted August 22, 2016 I haven't either, I'm using my card that is registered to Paypal.. so ebay have changed something, I have had no notification of changes to a guest account... Quote
Chingford Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 From Ebay you sign into your PayPal account as usual, if you pay as Guest you are not using that account and have to enter full card details and CSC, you do not have the protection of your account, this is possibly why they are asking you to do things different, you have paid as though you are not registered Quote
scott Posted August 23, 2016 Author Posted August 23, 2016 that's the thing, I haven't changed anything, I used card and it still went through paypal. Quote
PWA 1967 Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Think it might be easier to just PHONE them Scott. When i had a problem a while ago they answered straight away ,they were in Ireland and sorted it out . Quote
