Roger Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 (edited) Hello, We are cleaning out parents house and have found lots and lots of pre decimal coins. There is a collection of pennies dating from late 1800's through to 1960's, halfpennies, 3d pieces, silver 3d pieces, sixpences, florins, two shilling, half crowns, 200+ Charles & Diana Crowns. We have been advised to scrap the the lower value denominations which seems a shame when people do genuinely collect them. 3 days has been spent through all the coins (sorry no 1933 pennies) we have bagged and have cataloged the coins in decades onto a spreadsheet. If anyone would be interesting in looking at the list or purchasing please can you post and show your interest. If you are interested I am guessing that you can PM through this website? Or am I able to attach the spreadsheet via this message? Please advise. Thank you Looking forward to any replies. Roger Edited June 28, 2016 by Roger Quote
PWA 1967 Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Hi Roger. You must think Roger .. these posts come up all the time. Like any coin would need some kind of idea/photo to determin what grade they are. The pennies 1825-60 please send your list by PM. Pete. Quote
Roger Posted June 28, 2016 Author Posted June 28, 2016 (edited) Sorry Pete the earliest pennies that we have are 1862 x 2 There are 2 which we think are 1860 but they are very worn and its quite difficult to see the date. Thank you for your reply and fully understand that photo's may be needed. Also sorry correction: Not Charles & Diana Crowns but Silver Jubilee Crowns Edited June 28, 2016 by Roger Quote
Peter Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Hi Roger, If you could upload the spreadsheet of dates we can help....over 200 Silver Jubilee crowns would of cost £50+ in 1977 and probably worth that now.. It does sound like your parents did an interest in coins so you never know. Quote
