Good lord and there's me just thinking I would slab a coin to see if it fetches more when I put it in auction....and all along , according to those people on the high moral ground here , what I am is just an uneducated collector of 40 years....well, slap my thighs and paint me pink Blackadder....

Just Fine for me I'm afraid, sorry!

I think you're mean Paul. :P

If you use the Rotographic book as a guide, the illustration for fine reverse shows the P & I completely gone, plus half the E, N, S & Y. This is better than that, surely?

You mention........IF..........you had one slabbed.

Well the other thing to remember Jon is quite alot get rejected.

I dont mean the coin you pictured just something to bear in mind.

You need to really double check anything you have not just for grade but weather the coin may have faults.

I dont want to appear negative but would not like you to send any (i am sure you wont) and incur costs for any with a problem :)

I think I'm too mean to have anything slabbed Pete. Would have to be pretty special.

I am mean! Yes, on reflection I would grade it a smidge higher than Fine, approaching GF (lol)

With you on this Colin, I believe there are several valid reasons why people (including experienced dealers and collectors) may want to get a coin slabbed, the reason you cite being one of them :)

By the way colin cooke had one in worse for sale right now  for £150 so you have not done too bad.

Your coin is far superior to theirs so I would say its worth around £220 easy
