  2. At their last coin auction Spink informed me that their SpinkLive software is down and please go to The Salesroom .Unfortunately this software requires adobe Flash, so unable to run from iPhone or iPad. I'm waiting to hear of an update from Spink about their own SpinkLive once back up...

  5. English Silver Coinage does not list the rarity of the pillar type George III countermarked Dollar like this one.

  7. Mexico, pillar type not portrait.
  8. How rare is a George III Emergency crown countermarked (oval type) on a Pillar Dollar?
  9. I'm going to get the guinea out of the vault and get it under my microscope.
  10. Can't see any sign of filing or a partially filled die. http://i1322.photobucket.com/albums/u567/2tearsinabucket1/B2D78253-2EA3-4051-BC58-44B5C597D7A3-460-0000009368EA4DA1_zps6164c0e1.jpg
  11. Sounds like there's no documentation on this variety. Thanks for the info to all. I've promised this coin to William McKay when I sell! Happy new year to all coin enthusiasts! Best, nick

  14. It's from the Termer collection. Not sure how to send a higher res image in this forum.
  15. Picture, please.
  16. I have a 1713 post union Anne guinea with no stop after the word gratia on the Obverse side but it's not listed anywhere.
  17. Plus Baldwins (weak only lists catalogues), London coins (ok) Colin Cooke (average) off the top of my head.
  18. I agree with the findings regarding spink and DNW archive searches. What frustrates me most about Spink is that the web site telling us all how good this site is not to mention the live auction function crashing a few months ago leaving us to use Salesroom. I've found the only way to really go deep into archives for free (600euro p.a. silly money for coinarchives pro) is going to each coin company sites and go thru it manually Goldberg (weak) Hetitage (good), Stacks ( weak only lists individual catalogues) noble ( good). Spink (weak, can't handle more than one key word ! !!) Rasmussen (average) CNG ( good) . MCSearch ( reasonable and has sorting on auction date or value)
