Also, a Lt Hill of the Northamptonshire Regiment won a VC (as 58th Regiment) in the Boer War.. for action on Jan 28th 1881.. -

Grr... no edit.. I think it is a military medal of some sort.. The 8th Regiment of Foot became the King's (Liverpool) Regiment in 1881... and they certainly served in Afghanistan. -

Well Jay, I'm not too sure too many on here will be willing to part with their silver coins.. I had the impression it wasn't the done thing on here, and considering I myself deal in metals (gold, Platinum, palladium, silver etc), I didn't think it appropriate -

If they can get an extra dollar out of it, they will invent a new grade.... annoying tbh -
I kinda mean't that if I was unsure, I would look to see if they were contemporary forgeries of their era.. and when that is ruled out, then we know it is a recent job
