I recently saved this 1903 Edward VII Half Crown from a group of scrap silver coins. I saw in the 2014 Spink that it is supposedly worth £200 in fine condition. Is this reflective of the actual value of one in fine condition? Also what do you think this coin would be worth considering its condition is less than fine?
A busy few weeks with the family and festivals. No major purchases in the last 2 months though I did go for a few upgrades. I also won 10 lots from Steve's auction including this beauty.
I hope Steve (@Accumulator) won't mind me using his photos now that I have his coin I have to write to him to get the provenance for my winnings. I hope the auction was a grand success for Steve and I am glad I did my part
I once tried removing a matte proof (off year) coin from a slab and HIT THE EDGE OF THE COIN! Fortunately it was only minor damage, yikes! I bet Heritage would remove it for you once they were paid.
One I'm very happy with as I found it myself metal detecting. I had to have it straightened by a jeweller as it was badly bent.
few little scrapes on the reverse but I can live with that. Henry VI Half Noble, Annulet issue
