1861 F32 - 1901 Gouby Aa Last 1 to gap - 1937 unlsted 2+B proof

My best three finds over the past few months.   The 1937 is amazing I feel its FDC, and thanks to a tip off from Pete

Its the 1901 that is the one for me Terry......I am starting to get bored looking for a good one :D

Thank you so much to the couple of people who have messaged me...........

The 1901 though has the last ONE over a gap.

Sometimes due to light etc its hard to tell when you first start looking.

Believe me i have looked at hundreds :D

Yes but you can look at other indicators for the 1909 :)

The 1901 i must of thrown about ten in the bin :lol:

@terrysoldpennies Terry, was the 1937 sold to you as a proof?

It appears that the 1901 has the last 1 over a gap because the 1 is tilted slightly. Have you by any chance checked with Michael Gouby that the one he talks about in his book was also tilted  ?

It  also does not touch the tooth as the normal one does ,as in the first 1 in the date.

Gouby was sent a picture of one in 2010 , but never actually handled the coin. There is in fact three types but the middle one is so similar to the normal one as to make it extremely difficult to tell them apart.  I should add that although slightly rotated the 1 is also closer to the 0 than on the other two.
