    CGS "membership" Fee

In my opinion, best bet for anyone with a CGS slabbed coin is to get it cross graded asap by NGC / PCGS or crack it out of the slab and burn the CGS ticket

    Kilkenny money 1642

Also look at the space on the obverse (left of the picture) between the outer beading on yours. The above example from the old plate has no excess flan.

    1841 half crown help please

I would also suggest that the GEF grade given, is rather generous judging by the pictures. Unless this is a common issue with 1840 halfcrown, there appears to be very little detail on the Reverse shield lions and harps

    1841 half crown help please

Thats ridiculous, the problem we have with this alternative grading scale is it simply confuses the buyers. For example MS63 (PCGS / NGC) for a milled coin is not uncirculated, Uncirculated beings at MS64. The levels which a coin is considered GEF is IMO 61 - 63

    1841 half crown help please

    that would grade EF, yet from experience most CGS coins i've crossed graded tend to be one grade lower. Choice UNC MS66 - MS70 90-100 UNC MS64 - MS65 82-90 About UNC MS62 - MS63 80 GEF MS60 - MS61 75-78 EF AU58 - MS60 65-70 NEF AU55 55-60 GVF AU53 45-50 VF AU50 40 NVF EF45 35 GF VF35 - EF40 25-30 F VF20 - VF30 20

This is outrageous ! How can they get away with this kind of thing !

    CGS "membership" Fee

I'm guessing CGS must be a burden, otherwise why would they be looking into possibly selling? Perhaps its not profitable ? I don't believe CGS's existence is based upon LC's premises and staff (all 3 or 4 of them). i think it would be pretty easy to take over if you wanted too. However if someone here in the Uk was interested in doing a grading service, it would be much better to start up one from fresh and do so on the Sheldon scale. Would be a whole lot cheaper than buying a "non profitable" company from someone at the absurd amount being mentioned. The equipment cant be that expensive either

EU referendum - in or out?

Also i don't believe all out voters are racist, of course not that would be stupid to presume, however this vote IMO has allowed and given people with these views a platform and lets them think its ok now to be rascist. I have witnessed whether it is on Social media or in the outside world this happening. This minority represent a big cultural issue and in certain areas of this country this will only spread. A friend of mines child was called "Gready Gorilla" at school last week because she eats all her lunch and then the other kid said "my dad voted out go home". This was a 7 year olds conversation.

I agree Corbyn has increased Labour membership numbers, but the majority are these £3 membership people, not real labour members/followers.

EU referendum - in or out?

From my understanding many British laws such as the "Good Friday" agreement includes provisions based on the European Court of Human Rights, all of these are going to require re-writing, in turn will consume years of parliamentary time, divert precious public resources to battalions of lawyers, and jeopardise the effective governance of our country.

EU referendum - in or out?

Aren't most British Laws (made since the 70's) intertwined with the EU, now we are leaving i presume all these laws will need rewriting. The likelihood of leaving after the set 2 year period is 0% in my eyes, going to ramble on much longer Much simpler in times gone by, only took England 3 months to become a commonwealth after Charles I was executed
