ozjohn Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Just returned from a trip to Victoria where my wife and I visited the Victorian Art Gallery. In the gallery there was a Bertram MacKennal bronze statue. Part of the caption on the statue explained that anyone could own an original Mackennal for less than a penny. B.M. is of course the famous Australian artist whose name is in the truncation of KGV's neck on the coinage of that period as he designed the effigy of the king. Quote
