angela2659 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 hi alli have a 1903 one rupee india ,edward vii coin, but its embedded into a silver tin, just wondering if its worth anything ,i would appreciate everyones comments thanks. Quote
Rob Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 It's worth the silver content. It can't be uncirculated by definition and has most likely been polished plus there should be some damage from mounting, so numismatic value is zero or thereabouts. It is not a rare date. Quote
CartwheelTwopence Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Yeah, I would agree - but if the tin is solid silver I can imagine in scrap the whole thing could be worth a fair bit, at about £30 per 100g. Quote
