Nick Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 If anybody has access to any Spink Auction catalogues from the last few years, would they be kind enough to look up a couple of lot descriptions please? The lot descriptions required are Auction 8024, Lot 512 and Auction A9040, Lot 153. Quote
Peter Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Robs yer manI believe both were NVF 1967 pennies Quote
Rob Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 (edited) The first one is a pair of sixpences 1844 large 44 toned unc and an 1884 EF. Sale A9040? Obviously it is 2009, but isn't one of the four London Coin sales. Was it a foreign sale towards the end of the year? Can these be accessed via the website archive? The 8 refers to 2008 and then the sales are numbered incrementally throughout the year. It is the A prefix that doesn't make sense. Edited December 22, 2012 by Rob Quote

I vaguely recall that A9040 was an internet only auction, but can't be sure. It doesn't appear in the archive list of auctions on their website. If it helps, I think the date of the auction was 15th December 2009. Edited December 22, 2012 by Nick Quote
